Thomas Curtis

Managing Partner and Financial Advisor

Tom Curtis holds an undergraduate degree in finance from The Catholic University of America. He has been working in personal finance for more than 25 years as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He served as an Assistant Vice President at UBS Financial Services and at Merrill Lynch. In 2005, Tom co-founded Wealth Management Partners for the purpose of providing a higher level of service to his clients, with a focus on relationship building and choreographing a brighter future for individuals and families. Tom serves as the branch manager.

At WMP, Tom’s approach to financial planning is evident in all that we do. He has crafted a company culture that embraces a client-first mindset. Tom emphasizes creating customized solutions for each client by first listening to them and getting to know their hopes and dreams for the future. Tom believes that wealth management is multidimensional, and as such, it must be carefully attuned to each individual client. With a focus on investment management, advanced planning, and relationship management, Tom creates actionable financial roadmaps.

Tom views his role as that of an educator who empowers his clients to make confident, informed decisions. Yet, our clients also appreciate his warmth and sense of humor. His personal motto echoes the Golden Rule: “Treat others as you would like to be treated.”

Tom has been proud to call Tucson his home since 1994. He loves spending time with his family. They enjoy traveling and youth sports. Tom has served as a coach in the Canyon View Little League (CVLL) and has also served as a board member of the CVLL. Tom’s commitment to furthering financial education is evident in his volunteer role with the Arizona Council of Economic Education.

Morgan Brown

Managing Partner and Financial Advisor

Morgan is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where he earned a degree in psychology and competed on the golf team. As a financial advisor with an academic background in psychology, Morgan focuses on helping his clients articulate their goals and identify their priorities. His clients appreciate Morgan’s empathetic ear and intuitive ability to understand how his clients’ current financial situation can lead to their desired future. Morgan takes a collaborative approach to wealth management, with the objective of helping his clients live a fulfilled, worry-free life.

As a Founding Partner of WMP, Morgan’s particular areas of expertise lie in portfolio construction, relationship management, and community outreach. He has been with WMP since he co-founded it in 2005. With more than 21 years of experience in personal finance, Morgan understands the value of nurturing impactful relationships, and his colleagues and clients appreciate his warm, approachable personality.

Morgan is a devoted family man who enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Nara, and their two children, Jazz and Kyra. He loves playing sports with his kids, particularly golf, fly fishing, tennis, and skiing. Morgan is actively involved in the Tucson community. He coaches baseball, supports numerous charities, and is a longtime member and former President of the Executive Association of Tucson (E.A.T.). Morgan’s personal motto is, “Keep your eyes, ears, and mind open, and enjoy the ride.”

Guillermo “Billy” Monge

Billy is a graduate of the University of Arizona. He earned his degree in accounting and marketing. He is a highly experienced portfolio manager and financial advisor, having worked in the financial services field since 1999. Earlier in his career, Billy served as an investment officer and international banker at Merrill Lynch, BBVA, and Wells Fargo Private Client Group. Since 2014, he has guided our clients at WMP in creating sustainable wealth and financial security.

When Billy was young, he aspired to become the CEO of a Fortune 500 company. Now, he takes pleasure in developing actionable, forward-thinking blueprints for his individual, commercial, and international clients. Billy brings a unique skillset to our company, thanks to his in-depth experience managing investments in both North America and Latin America. His clients appreciate his keen analytical mind and creative approach to problem solving. Billy believes each of our clients deserves a completely customized solution, and developing that solution begins with a thorough analysis of the client’s current financial situation. Our clients also value Billy’s commitment to maintaining an open line of communication with them.

Billy is an active member of our Tucson community. He enjoys participating in numerous philanthropic and community endeavors, including the Tucson Urban League and the United Way of Santa Cruz County. Billy, his wife Arlette, and their two daughters enjoy taking advantage of the recreational opportunities in the Tucson area, particularly the golf courses. In his spare time, Billy enjoys cooking. Greg Bryson

Senior Portfolio Manager/Financial Advisor

Greg is a graduate of the University of Arizona, where he earned a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in finance and real estate. After graduation, Greg underwent advanced professional training via the prestigious Merrill Lynch Wealth Management training program in Princeton, NJ. Greg continued serving wire house clients until 2007, when he opened a Raymond James financial services branch. Wealth Management Partners was pleased to welcome Greg into our ranks in 2017. Throughout his career, Greg has maintained an enduring commitment to continual learning and professional development.

With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services field, Greg brings impactful insights to portfolio management. He takes a client-centered approach by first helping his clients thoroughly understand their assets, liabilities, and cash flow before identifying their unique financial goals. Then, Greg designs a portfolio that minimizes risk while steadily advancing clients toward their objectives. In addition to Greg’s proactive and strategic approach to their portfolio management, clients appreciate his attention to detail, and diligent and accessible nature. Greg continually maintains open lines of communication with his clients through both favorable and unfavorable economic cycles. His flexible mindset allows for adjustments as his client’s needs and the financial market change over time.

Greg is proud to be a native of Tucson, and he enjoys being active in the community he grew up in. Laura Barnard

Financial Planner

Laura Barnard holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), both in Business Administration and Management. She has been working in the finance field since 2008. Laura initially focused her career on retail banking. She has in-depth expertise in private banking, wealth management, and investment planning.

Laura first began working at WMP in 2015 as a Registered Client Service Manager. In this capacity, she was involved with developing strategic financial plans and educating 401(k) plan participants. In 2018, Laura left to continue her professional development and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Behavioral Financial Advisor™. The team at WMP was pleased to welcome Laura back in 2021, and our clients have been thrilled to see her friendly face in the office again.

Throughout her career, Laura has been known as a highly organized professional with a keen eye for detail. She is committed to ongoing professional development. She characterizes herself as a lifelong learner, and in fact, her childhood dream was to become a teacher. Her clients appreciate her positive personality and proactive professionalism. Laura’s approach to financial planning is to help her clients first identify their values. Then, she guides them in developing goals aligned with those values, followed accordingly by strategic decision making. Laura’s philosophy acknowledges that the future may be unpredictable, but as a financial planner, her role is to limit uncertainty by helping her clients prepare and move forward with confidence.

Laura loves spending time with her family. They enjoy outdoor activities, and when near bodies of water, Laura has been known to demonstrate her skills on the paddleboard. Laura is also active in our Tucson community, having served as a volunteer at the Tucson Wildlife Center and the Red Shoe Society of Southern Arizona, which supports families with critically ill children. She also served as a board member of the Arizona Blind and Deaf Children’s Foundation.

Ace Brown

Registered Associate

After a 30-plus-year Human Resources career in the Natural Resources/Mining industry, Ace retired as Director of Human Resources for Kennecott Minerals Company and joined his son, Morgan, at Merrill Lynch. In 2009, he moved to Raymond James. 

Ace attended both the University of Montana and the University of Arizona in pursuit of his Business Administration/Human Resources degree. Ace and his wife Karen will celebrate their 48th wedding anniversary in November. Ace and Karen fell in love with Arizona when they first moved to Tucson with their four young children in 1972. Grandchildren, golf, travel, and trout fishing in Montana are in Ace and Karen’s plans, when time permits.

Hollie Butler

Registered Client Service Specialist

When new and prospective clients get in touch with WMP, their first point of contact is often Hollie Butler. Hollie has extensive experience in the financial planning field, having begun her financial career in 1997 when she earned her Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. In 1999, Hollie transitioned to working with financial planner Greg Bryson, providing a full range of client support services.

In 2007, Hollie began working for Raymond James Financial Services, where she assisted individuals and organizations seeking financial planning assistance. In 2017, Hollie turned her focus to Wealth Management Partners, bringing her in-depth expertise and client-focused approach to our firm.

At WMP, Hollie delivers essential support services, including opening and maintaining client accounts, facilitating fund movement and distributions, conducting security transfers, and curating financial planning and investment management systems. What she values most about her work is the process of relationship building. Hollie has been working with some clients for 20-plus years, and she ensures they have easy access to all of the knowledge, tools, and resources they need. Our clients value Hollie’s proactive approach, dependable nature, and in-depth industry knowledge.

Hollie is proud to call Tucson home, having lived in our community for more than 40 years. She is a devoted mom who loves spending her free time with her sons. Hollie also enjoys physical fitness and appreciates the many opportunities for outdoor recreation in the Tucson area.

Kristi Thompson

Client Service Associate

Kristi earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Fashion Merchandising in 2013. She has a strong managerial and leadership background, and has always emphasized the importance of client relations for the teams she has led. When clients visit our office, Kristi’s is the first friendly face they see. Since joining WMP in 2021, Kristi has focused on building strong client relationships and ensuring that our clients are always connected to the tools, resources, and information they need.

Kristi brings prior experience in the financial services field to WMP, although she maintains a strong commitment to continually growing and learning as a professional in order to better serve the needs of our clients. Our clients love that Kristi is always willing to go above and beyond to exceed their expectations. She assists with opening accounts, maintaining accounts, transferring funds, and general troubleshooting for our clients.

When she isn’t in the office, Kristi enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. They are an adventurous family, frequently seeking out new, hands-on experiences at the zoo, parks, and hiking trails. The Thompson family is relatively new to the Tucson area, having moved here in May of 2021 from Houston. As new Tucsonans, the Thompsons are thrilled to explore the many recreational and outdoor opportunities this area offers.
